Description:
Taconic, a global leader in the manufacture of PTFE coated fiberglass fabric, belts and tapes is seeking an Environmental Director to provide oversight and management for industrial, plant and environmental related projects.
Responsibilities:
As Environmental Director, you will coordinate and/or perform all duties necessary to ensure compliance with all federal, state and local laws. Create and executes project work plans, including scope development, and revises both as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements. Provide oversight and technical input on complex projects; and coordinate internal and external resources in support of project completion.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental engineering/management or related discipline and five years’ environmental management experience. Professional Engineer (PE) designation preferred.
- Demonstrated experience directing and managing projects, including regulatory agency liaison skills, fiscal management of projects, scoping and budgeting proposals.
- Excellent written, oral and computer skills
- Good interpersonal skills with ability to prioritize tasks based on changing work conditions
Prior experience performing field work, including soil and groundwater sampling, oversight of source removal activities, and operation/maintenance of remediation systems, will be considered a plus.
