Open mesh PTFE coated fiberglass fabric for airflow, drying, curing, and conveyor applications

Taconic open mesh PTFE coated fiberglass and Kevlar® fabric is designed for high temperature applications where airflow, heat transfer, drying efficiency, and conveyor belt performance are critical.

The open mesh construction allows air to pass through the fabric while the PTFE coating provides release properties, heat resistance, chemical resistance, dimensional stability, and durable processing performance.

Open mesh PTFE fabric is commonly used for drying belts, curing belts, conveyor belts, food processing, textile processing, screen printing, packaging, bonding, and other processes where ventilation and non-stick performance are required.

Performance Advantages

Why choose this
fabric construction?

Airflow

Open mesh construction allows airflow through the fabric, making it useful for drying, curing, cooling, and ventilation-dependent processes.

Heat Transfer

Supports efficient heat movement through the belt or fabric surface for high temperature process applications.

Drying Efficiency

The open structure helps promote drying and outgassing of volatile products in curing, bonding, and textile applications.

Conveyor Performance

Provides strength, dimensional stability, release performance, and wear resistance for fabricated open mesh conveyor belts.

Fabric FAQ

Common questions about
open mesh fabric.

What is Open Mesh PTFE fabric used for?

Open mesh PTFE fabric is used for drying, curing, conveying, bonding, food processing, textile processing, screen printing, and applications requiring airflow through the belt or fabric.

How is Open Mesh fabric different from solid PTFE coated fabric?

Open mesh fabric has an open weave construction that allows airflow and outgassing, while solid PTFE coated fabric provides continuous, non-porous, release surface.

Can Open Mesh PTFE fabric be converted into conveyor belts?

Yes. Open mesh PTFE fabric is commonly used in conveyor belt applications that require airflow, heat transfer and drying performance while still maintaining release properties.
